Rules of procedure

Purpose

The council acts as a professional advisory forum for Danish Centre for Urban History.

Composition

The council is composed of members of the Danish Committee for Urban History.

Enactment

The rules of procedure is passed by the board of directors of Danish Centre for Urban History, but submitted to the Danish Committee for Urban History for an opinion before it comes into force.

Meetings

East year before the end of April and with at least 14 days' notice, the board of directors must convene a metting of the council in Danish Centre for Urban History. The members of the council are encouraged to get their travel expenses reimbursed by their employer. If this is not possible, travel expenses will be reimbursed by Danish Centre for Urban History.

Meeting of the council

At the annual meeting of the council, the board of directors and the head of the centre inform about the activites of the centre during the past year, and plans for future activities and events are presented and discussed. In addition, the chairman of the Danish Committee for Urban History and the chairman for Danish Centre for Urban History must account for the collaboration between the centre and the commitee.

The head of the centre acts as rapporteur during the meeting. The meeting concludes with an academic and professional feature. The summary must be send out to all members of the council after the meeting.

Other meetings of the council

The board of directors of Danish Centre for Urban History is able to convene other meetings of the council, if at least three members find it appropriate. The meeting must be convened with at least 14 days' notice specifying agenda, time and place.
