The Danish Centre for Urban History celebrates its 10. anniversary with a seminar held together with Den Gamle By open-air museum.
In 2011 it is ten years ago since The Danish Centre for urban History was founded by The Institute of History and Area Studies, Aarhus University, and Den Gamle By, national open-air museum, Aarhus.
The anniversary is celebrated on the 25 October with the seminar Urban History Exhibited - Concepts of Urban History and Trends in Town Museums". The seminar also marks the merge of Den Gamle By and Aarhus City Museum.
At the seminar researchers from Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands and the USA will discuss how and why to develop new methods of communicating, curating, and exhibiting urban history.
